Eligibility & Format
Participation Guidelines
CODEFEM is a competitive programming event for women. We follow official ICPC Mexico regulations, adapted to provide an inclusive and educational experience.
Women Participation
The competition is open to women, providing a welcoming environment to foster tech talent.
Flexible Team Formation
Participation in ICPC format with teams of three (3) is preferred. However, competing in teams of two or individually is also permitted.
Official Awards & Prizes
While team formation is flexible, only teams composed of 3 students from the same university/institution who meet ICPC eligibility criteria are eligible for official awards and qualifying spots.
Academic Levels
Competition Categories
Important note: Categories are intended to group competitors by academic level to ensure fair and balanced competition. They do not represent direct qualification slots for external events.
IOI
For students eligible to participate in the International Olympiad in Informatics who have not yet entered university. Teams represent an educational institution.
ICPC
For undergraduate university students who meet official ICPC eligibility criteria. Teams represent an educational institution.
Masters
For graduates, postgraduates, cross-institutional teams, or participants not eligible for the previous categories. Teams may represent a company, organization, algorithms/programming club, or follow any composition rules allowed by ICPC Masters Mexico.
Fair Play
Integrity Rules & Code of Conduct
AI Strictly Prohibited
The use of Artificial Intelligence (such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, Cursor or smart auto-completion tools) is strictly forbidden for consultation, assistance, generation or debugging.
Internet Restriction
Internet browsing is prohibited during the contest, except for accessing the official judge platform and permitted language documentation.
Zero External Help
Communication or assistance from external persons (coaches, teachers, friends) during the 5-hour contest is strictly prohibited.
Contest Format
5 hours of continuous online competition solving algorithmic problems evaluated in real-time via DomJudge.
